“Reverie XVI: Between Light and Stillness”

There are moments when the world feels suspended — neither day nor night, only the quiet transition of color and air. Reverie XVI was born in that space. This painting continues my Reverie series, where I explore the dialogue between atmosphere and memory. Using layers of acrylic and soft impasto textures, I aimed to capture the slow rhythm of light across an open landscape — the kind of view that doesn’t need to be real to feel true. The sky drifts from soft cerulean to coral pink, meeting a golden field that hums with subtle texture. The brushwork alternates between stillness and motion, echoing how our minds wander when we’re at peace.

I painted Reverie XVI over several days, letting each layer dry so that new tones could breathe beneath the surface — a process that mirrors the way we collect experiences over time. In the end, this painting isn’t just about place, but about presence. It’s an invitation to pause, to breathe, to drift into reverie.
