A Journey Through Transformation

Even though I didn’t win the contest, being part of the exhibition at the Wine Museum was an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s not always about the prize — sometimes, it’s about the people you meet, the conversations that spark new ideas, and the chance to see your work breathe in a shared space.
My piece, Fermento, is part of my ongoing exploration of mixed media and texture. I love blending materials that carry their own stories — in this case, vine leaves, sand, and acrylics — to create surfaces that feel alive and evolving. The green areas represent the organic, earthy beginning, while the purple and pink tones echo grapes and trellises, suggesting the cycle of growth, transformation, and creation.

The title Fermento speaks to that process of change — not just in wine or nature, but also in art and in ourselves. Creativity, for me, is a kind of fermentation: ideas need time, patience, and a bit of chaos to mature into something meaningful.
The exhibition itself was beautiful — surrounded by talented artists, curious visitors, and the warm buzz of conversation. Standing there, watching people interact with my work, I realized that every piece continues to grow beyond the studio.
Each experience like this teaches me something new — about materials, about others, and about myself as an artist. I left the Wine Museum feeling inspired, grateful, and excited for what’s next.
