Ascent of Serenity: behind the canvas

Hello everyone,

I am thrilled to share the creative journey behind my latest abstract painting, Ascent of Serenity. This piece is particularly special to me, and I wanted to give you all a glimpse into the process and inspiration behind it.

While working on this piece, I aimed to capture the feeling of serene elevation and tranquility.

Three-quarters of the canvas is dominated by a soothing pink hue, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. I started with broad, sweeping brushstrokes, allowing the pink to flow naturally and set the tone for the piece.

In the middle, I introduced some white areas, subtly blending them into the pink. This added a sense of lightness and movement, creating visual interest and depth.

On the upper right side, bold zigzag strokes in brown were added. These strokes bring a dynamic, almost mountainous feel to the composition, enhancing the sense of upward movement and challenge.

The lower part of the canvas is in turquoise, providing a contrasting base that balances the overall composition. This section adds a refreshing coolness, evoking a calm, grounded feeling.

In the turquoise area, I added a small line with two dots. These elements might seem minor, but they play a crucial role in drawing the eye and adding intrigue to the piece.

Creating Ascent of Serenity was an immersive and meditative experience. I felt connected to the canvas, letting the colors and forms guide me. The process was both challenging and rewarding, pushing me to explore new techniques and express my inner vision.
